Design
Quality begins with the design of each project. We strive to meet or exceed all applicable building codes on every project. We stand behind all of our projects and take pride in them, so we make certain that the skeleton of each home is structurally sound and stable. We strive to meet or exceed all code requirements on each job. We also monitor all jobs to ensure they are adhering to specific quality design characteristics on each job. A quality design is one is architecturally and aesthetically correct, while also being structurally and functionally correct.
Materials
We use premium grade products on every home that come from trusted suppliers and manufacturers. We also stay on top of all market trends and keep aware of any new products on the market, while also doing due diligence to ensure they will be a useful product for decades. We work closely with our vendors to ensure that all products delivered to the site meet our quality standards.
Project Management
We monitor each project closely to ensure that all aspects of the construction meet the design and the specifications. We also work closely with each client during the construction to ask all pertinent questions, offer alternate ideas and materials, layout and design specific aspects of the project; all in an effort to ensure that each client is both well-informed and comfortable with every aspect of the project.
Through the use of our client interface system, our clients are allowed a part in the project management. It is used to track all selections, expenses, messages, schedules, questions, and photos at a central location that is both convenient to find and easy to use. It is a “one stop shop” for all of our clients to find any aspect related to their project. It also keeps all job allowance financials organized throughout the project to ensure that each customer is aware of where they stand. Please inquire for more information.
Partners
Our homes are only as great as the subcontractors, vendors, and tradesmen that we employ. We use repeat subcontractors and suppliers that we have built a working relationship with over many years, some of which have been with us since the beginning of W.G. Smith Construction Co., Inc. We feel this to be a large asset because we have mutual trust and expectations of each other. If the event comes that we have to make a change as it has happened, we don’t just settle on the next lowest bidder. We check references and interview all new potential subs or suppliers prior to sending our clients to them or them to the jobsite. All subcontractors are required to carry both Worker’s Compensation and General Liabiltiy insurance. These subcontractors and suppliers have proven themselves to both us, and our previous clients, and we feel they are key to our quality finished product.
